This course reviews the different types of relationships, especially family relationships, that may be present in the life of an individual living with dementia; reviews family roles; and explores how to identify and assess these dynamics. 1.75 credits.
This course teaches participants about the important intersection between dementia and the LGBTQ+ community. This includes various forms of discrimination and stigma, which can greatly impact health and wellbeing, leading to an increased risk of dementia.
This course teaches participants about the relationship between dementia and substance misuse, and the barriers to treatment that many older adults experience. 1.75 continuing education credits (clinical course) available.
