About this Course
If your family member or loved one was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementia-related illness, you may be feeling overwhelmed and confused about what to expect. It may be difficult to focus on planning for the future. However, taking some steps today can help make caring for your loved one easier in the days and months to come. This video identifies some of these steps, such as putting legal and financial plans in order as well as providing advice and suggestions on what to consider when planning for a loved one’s current and future care needs. It also offers tips on building a support network and outlines the types of resources, programs, and supports available for the caregiver and for the person diagnosed with a dementia.
